Adam ADG is a strain gauge
design balance with internal rechargeable battery and
bi-directional RS-232 as standard equipment. The ADG Series
weigh in either Grams
or Newtons and has many of the functions that the
AFP Series offers. The
die cast aluminum housing and stainless steel weighing pan ensure
long life.
Square 6.3" stainless steel platform
Automatic compensation for minor temperature variations
GLP compliant software package for calibration print out
Digital filters and suppression of the last digit on the display
Dust Cover, In-use wet cover, Adam
thermal printer, Weigh below hook, Data collection program
Additional Features
For
working in an unstable environment the ADG Series has digital filters
and suppression of the last digit on the display (in grams mode only
i.e.: 20.1> 20) facilitate optimal response time and speeds up
weighing operations.
Parts
counting, percentage weighing & high / ok / low check-weighing.
Variable
averaging allows the user to set the "stable reading" indicator for
fast or slow response and compensate for unstable conditions.
The optional
screw-in hanger facilitates below-the-balance weighing for all AFP
balances.
RS-232
interface comes as standard for printing of results using the optional
Adam thermal printer or connection to a PC using an aftermarket
data collection program enabling the balances to be integrated into
an ISO/GLP quality system.
Check-Weighing HI / OK/ LO limits: The AFP/ADG Series
feature a check-weighing mode. You can set the HI
Limit (over) and LO Limit (under) and anything
in between will result in the OK Limit to be activated
on the balance's display. Simply by pressing the "F"
keypad and cycling through the function settings to the check-weighing
mode. Using the "Print", "On/Off"
and "F" key on the display you can configure the
HI/LO Limits anywhere between 0 and the weighing capacity
of the balance.
The
weight of items or packages can be checked quickly using this check-weighing
feature. It's a great feature for incoming inspection to determine
missing parts/items in a large quantity of parcels that are all suppose
to be the same. Depending upon the weight applied to the platform
and the configuration limit settings will determine whether HI, OK
or LO with be activated on the display. Regardless of which state
is activated the internal annunciator that beeps to alert you when the
balance needs to be calibrated WILL NOT sound to confirm the HI or
LO level.
Here is how it works with a simple example you can understand.
We'll say you're a Quality Control Manager for a plastic injection
mold factory. Sometimes the plastic parts have air pockets
due to the setup of the injection mold machines. I eliminate
the production of inferior plastic parts that can crack or
break since the plastic part is not solid you set up a ADG3000L
next to each injection machine and have the operaore verify
a part every 15 minutes to ensure a quality part is produced.
To eliminate any misunderstandings of what is an acceptable
weight for the particular part being produced you configure
the HI/LO limits on the balance. Now the machine operator
only needs to look at the display and verify the "OK"
is illuminated on the display. If it shows "LO"
the machine needs to be stopped and adjustments made to eliminate
the air voids that are occurring in the parts.

We
highly recommend you purchase the calibration mass when you purchase
the balance. It will only be a matter of time before you call
us for a cal mass next day air if you don't have one already.
